Aerobatic Jet Flight TS-11 Iskra bis D
Thanks to the White-Red Wings Foundation, your adventure will start at the airport in Mielec. You will receive a flight suit and all accessories necessary for a safe flight.
The first step is a thorough look at the aircraft and presentation by qualified technical staff. You will be acquainted with the technical parameters of the aircraft, learn its performance and limitations, the principle of operation of the jet engine and emergency procedures. Then the pilot with whom you will perform your flight will present the on-board devices, discuss the specifics and individual phases of the flight and the preliminary plan. You will get an exhaustive answer to every question about the aircraft, safety and the flight itself. The training will end with a short test, which will all take place at the plane.
Before the flight there will be a pre-flight check-in with mechanics and a pilot. Weather conditions and flight plan will be discussed in detail. You will put on a parachute and an air helmet. Together with the pilot you will do the whole check list before the flight, and a moment later you will sit in the second cabin of Spark. Technical staff will help to take the right place in the chair, fasten seat belts and check if everything is OK.
The fairing of the cabin will be closed and from now on it is only you, the machine and your pilot. You’ll be in the air in a few minutes.
The pilot starts the procedure for starting the engine, checks the operation of all on-board systems. In cooperation with mechanics, you check the deflections of flaps and aerodynamic brakes as well as the operation of the rudders. After receiving permission from the tower controller, you start taxiing to the threshold of the runway.
When you are ready, the pilot increases the thrust and releases the brakes after starting power. The plane begins to accelerate and after about 700 m you are in the air. Retract the chassis, then the flaps and at the speed of 300-350 km / h you start the first turn. You will ascend to the pre-set altitude and there the pilot will present the pilot capabilities of the aircraft.
You will make loops, barrels, tight turns and high speed flights.
Then you take over and see for yourself how wonderful and unforgettable jet plane flying is. You will feel the specifics of flying a military machine. Returning to the airport, you will make a low flight, and then smoothly go to the landing phase. After the flight you will discuss the entire flight with the pilot ..
For the rest of the day you will be able to observe and participate in air operations on the tarmac and get to know the work of the airport up close. *
